DubHacks is a 24-hour collegiate hackathon held at the University of Washington in Seattle. We bring together undergraduate students of all backgrounds to inspire individuals to develop creative tools to solve society’s biggest issues.

Who can attend?
We welcome and encourage undergraduate students of all backgrounds to join us. Unfortunately, we are unable to admit high school or graduate students.
How much does this cost?
Admission is completely free. All the essentials such as food, workspace, and WiFi will be provided at no cost.
Do I apply with a team?
No, applications are submitted and reviewed individually.
Are we allowed to build on past projects?
You cannot work, copy, or improve on past projects. Using your own APIs or third-party APIs is alright, as long as the project is completely new. Please refer to MLH’s policy for more information.
What should I bring?
In order to check-in, you must bring a photo ID. You should also bring a laptop, chargers, toiletries, change of clothes, and anything else you will need for an overnight weekend.
What if I need special accommodations?
We want DubHacks to be accessible and welcoming for everyone. Please list any special accommodations in your application, or contact us with any other concerns.
What if I don’t know how to code?
It is entirely irrelevant what your experience is and more about your interest in technology. You will be able to work with various mentors, interact with companies, and learn alongside fellow participants.
Do you offer travel reimbursement?
Yes. Travel reimbursement will be assessed separately from your application, and will be provided on a case by case basis. If you are traveling from Vancouver BC, a shuttle bus will be provided.
How big are the teams?
You may work individually or on a team of no more than five people. If you need help finding others to work with, there will be a team formation and ideation activity on the first night.
Will you have hardware equipment to use?
Yes. Our partners at MLH will have a limited stock of Oculus Rifts, Myo armbands, Lead Motions, Arduinos, 3D printers, and more to loan out to attendees at our event.
What is the code of conduct?
DubHacks values the importance of a safe and all-inclusive space. Anyone attending must adhere to our code of conduct.
