Bellingham Chamber of Commerce
The chamber advocates for a strong business community and aims to make the Bellingham and Whatcom County area a great place to live, work, shop and play by influencing public policy, aiding in economic development and helping its members succeed. The primary role of a chamber of commerce is to help create a strong economy. The chamber doesn’t do that by directly starting up new businesses, creating jobs or exporting products, it does that by making it easier for local businesses to do business.
We’re a non profit organization made up of local, independently owned businesses. We work to help our members become more sustainable and promote them to the community in recognition of the extra efforts they make. We envision a thriving, collaborative community where local businesses are prosperous, and contribute to a healthy environment and the well-being of all citizens. Our mission is to be the forum where businesses come together to transform and model a vibrant local economy built on sustainable practices.
